the preservation of your inner fire
“Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.” These words from Gustav Mahler, famous Austro-Bohemian composer, reflects the work of a craftsman.
This silver inlay coppersmith has the fire to perfect a work that has been handed down since ancient Egypt. Over 5,000 years ago copper was mined from the Sinai and was the main metal used for temple decorations, mirrors and razors and tubing to convey water.
Unique in the world’s history is the continued use of the same practices, century after century, of metal craftsmanship. A metal inlay plate of the 20th century would look the same as a plate of the 1st century.
We are also craftsmen.
We develop ourselves, we cultivate our talents, we master new skills, we use our best for the benefit of others, we work with those who support and encourage us, and we find joy in our accomplishments to create a satisfying life. We pass along our knowledge and wisdom for the next generations to also reach the summit of human excellence.
Wishing you the preservation of your inner fire.
