a graceful heart

Day 107 - 4.17.jpg

“Silence is the language of god, all else is poor translation,” according to the 14th century poet Rumi.

The first time I went into the Sinai desert in 2000, I fell in love with it. The desert is not just a place, it is an experience.

The mesmerizing silence, the vast openness and bareness of material things all contribute to an unfolding of the soul. Like elegant tea leaves in hot water, the heart unfurls its own sweet fragrance.

Wishing you a graceful heart.
