Felucca Trip

After a relaxing sail on a Felucca, a traditional wooden sailing boat, we stroll through the abundant gardens of Elephantine Island, reflecting on our time on the Nile. In ancient days, locals believed that the deity Khnum, who controlled the waters of the Nile, inhabited the island. The famous historian Herodotus (484-425 BCE) summarized the importance of the river by writing "Egypt is the gift of the Nile.” Here we have our final travel blessings before we fly back to Cairo for dinner and rest before departures back home. Our final night is at Le Passage Hotel near the airport.
