power and love

“Travel brings power and love back into your life.” Rumi was so right when it comes to these two travelers.

The stillness of the desert has a way of distilling what is essential.  There are no distractions of technology or fleeting demands of attention.  The longer one stays in the desert; the essence of soul begins to bubble up like a small trickling oasis out of the hard-crusted sands.  Some crud may arise but when that clears; pure creativity, love and goodwill arises. 

How I would have loved to be a fly buzzing around listening to two creative people talk about passions and life.  

Upon their return to New York City, Christina took her top-notch publication, the Immigrant Report, to the next level through a fund raising campaign.  The writing, videos and stunning photos give voice to the many talents and heart-warming stories of this population. 

Kyle, a musician and songwriter, also developed a fundraiser to put this theater company, Thicket and Thistle, on the map with their new musical. The actors are multi-talented; they play their own instruments, sing and act.
