Wandering the alleyways of the Khan Al-Khalili bazaar area is a feast for the senses and for some, a total overload of stimulation. 

Colorful wares hanging from open air stalls , the aroma of spices, the chatter of voices, the call of prayer from the minarets, loud voices saying “for you, a good deal,” the constant maneuvering around all the people, tourists stopping to take selfies, the wafting smoke from apple flavored tobacco, the hustle and bustle of trade, dodging waiters carrying trays of traditional tea in Fishawy's outdoor café, getting cotton candy sticky hands, being lost in the labyrinth of passageways, stray cats feeding from leftover lunches, and the clang of a copper and silversmith craftsman is just a fraction of one moment in this old Arab Souk.

This scene is shortly before daily life in the bazaar comes into full action. 

Time to pause, to gather ones-self, and enjoy simple pleasures is an oasis.
